This product is slightly misunderstood most consumers (including me at one time!) Simply put, you don't have to buy expensive ATF's from the dealer any more. This company (LUBEGARD) sells what's known as automatic transmission conversion products. The LUBEGARD product allows you to buy regular, inexpensive DEXRON/MERCON fluid, and add a bottle of LUBEGARD to transform the inexpensive DEXRON MERCON to the performance requirements of any ATF (there are several different LUBEGARD products, depending on your car). For instance, instead of buying MERCON V ATF for mucho $$$, you buy regular DEXRON at $1.50 quart and addejust one bottle of LUBEGARD and IT WORKS GREAT! It is very highly recommended by transmission shops in my area.
