easy to follow March 19, 2010 A. Wakeman The book gives lots of opportunitties to practice what you're learning. It't very easy to follow.
Calculate With Confidence February 27, 2010 Alice M. Whitt (Norton, Kansas) This book has helped me tremendously in understanding drug calculations, ratio and proportions, and even basic math. I bought it to prepare for RN school. Each chapter has a review, so if you are having problems in one area, it teaches you step-by-step how to do the math before proceeding to the next section. Very helpful!
Good but too extensive February 22, 2010 Gledson Hanelt (maryland, usa) Calculate with confidence is good book, specially if you're not familiar with the decimal system used in nursing. It covers everything since basic bath. The down side is that it gets boring and exaustive as you read the chapters. Very detailed but the chapters are way too long.
Great resource for Medication Math for any Nursing Student February 16, 2010 Megan Greci (Mooresville, NC United States) Great resource. Was a great help in understanding & becoming more confident in Medication Math...
A Must-Have for any Nursing Student
Very thorough and helpful in understanding the basics! February 6, 2010 Robert McGee (Atlanta, GA) I recommend this book for anyone having to take a dosage calculation test for nursing school or any other medical field with drug calculations. It was very helpful for me just to go back over the math skills that were forgotten over time. The book has great illustrations, pictures, and practice problems to help the reader understand the topics. Definitely worth the dollars spent on the "confidence" that you receive that you can administer drugs safely and without doubting your math skills!
