Product Description AVAILABLE UNTIL OCT 25, 2008. April 15, 1912, 2:20 AM, the Royal Mail Steamer Titanic slips beneath the icy waters of the North Atlantic. Left behind are more than 1,500 men, women and children. In the days following the disaster four vessels depart from Canada in search of the victims scattered across the vast ocean. The Canadian Province of Nova Scotia responds to this disaster with ships, coroners and comfort to the devastated families. "Titanic Canada" takes the viewer on a tour of the beautiful province. From Yarmouth, where some pieces of the sailing ship Samson (some believe it to be the 'mystery ship' located between the Titanic and the Californian) have been preserved, to the far northern reaches of the Cabot Trail where an artifact is housed at a museum in Cape North. Along the way you'll explore the building that was home to John Snow and Sons funeral parlor, where many of the victims were taken. Three cemeteries in Halifax which contain 150 of Titanic's dead. The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, which houses one of the best exhibits in Canada. The film is filled with archival footage and photographs intermixed with interviews, and tours of the locations that have embedded Titanic in Nova Scotia's history.

The Bera Family Goes to Halifax! Or how I spent my summer in Halifax! April 7, 2008 David Colvin (Oak park IL) You have to give the Bera Family credit for putting it all together for the Titanic buffs! Great overview of Titanic Nova Scotia Canada if you love the Titanic. Would have been nice if they spent a few more minutes on what else you can do in Nova Scotia! I got sick of seeing Mama Bera, Papa Bera, and Baby Bera or their names on everything. Did they have a family relation related to the Titanic? I got the feeling they wanted to capitalize on Titanic fame. They should concentrate on selling this to libraries around the country.
Absolutely Amazing!!! February 29, 2008 Pamela McInnis (Massachusetts) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This film is incredible. It gives a totally new viewpoint of the devastation of the Titanic and the aftermath that followed. It is the best documentary that I have seen on the Titanic pertaining to the history and horror that was faced after the loss of this great ship. Well written, filmed, narrated, and musically scored. Perfect for somebody with a profound interest in the Titanic or just a great interest in history. No matter how well you think you know all the facts behind the Titanic I guarantee you will learn something new. Once again, WELL DONE!
Cinematography and Content High September 11, 2007 Tom Andews (North America) The cinematography in this film is outstanding. I have been to Halifax and toured what I thought were all the Titanic sites. I missed so much. The film progresses through Nova Scotia showing all the locations that were related to the disaster, intermixing them with footage from 1912 and photos. Additionally, all the museums that have any sort of display, artifact or relation to the disaster is profiled. One actually has on display the coroner's table used for John Jacob Astor. Well compiled, with a great narrator and musical score that keeps you hooked throughout. The bonus 20 minute film shows every grave at the three Halifax cemeteries, with photos of some of the victims. Quite a riveting piece in itself.
