 problem with clicking noise... November 29, 2008

We're returning our second set today. We got the first in April 2008 and it lasted until July before the clicking noise ruined the listening experience. It's a loud popping rhythmic noise like a metronome. The second set worked for a few months flawlessly until it too started popping. If they could remove the noise, these would be 5 stars. When they work, they sound awesome and fill the room with a full-rich sound. Very good bass quality.

I bought this and completely eliminated my old stereo system. I've owned mine for almost 2 years and have no complaints about the unit quality of the sound quality. My only issue is with the particular way you have to sequence the plug-in so that it will work. It's not often that I move the unit to another location, but when I do I have to figure it all out again. Minor problem though. I would definitely recommend this product and buy other Altec Lansing products.
Annoying clicking noise November 12, 2008

The sound was ok at first, but eventually it started making a clicking or popping noise. It's very regular and quite loud, and completely wrecks the listening experience.

Altec Lansing has been taking me over the hurdles on this. I recieved a repackaged item on August 12th that didn't work. I immediately sent it back. Almost three weeks later I reieved another repackaged unit. It looked like they just sent mine back. I never opened it and called Altec Lansing. I was told by Issac that he would rush one right out. This was Sept. 4th. Today is the 10th and I still haven't even seen a tracking key yet.

I have traded in 2 of these for the same clicking noise after a few days. A real piece of junk. Sounded great when it worked for a few days. Don't buy one.
