There are some games in our closet that, when my daughter asks me to play them with her, I inwardly groan. This is not one of them!

It's a great game! My sisters daughter enjoys playing Animal Yatzee with her 5 year old cousin. Since he's about 18 months older than her, he always has the advantage. That is until, I gave her Animal Yatzee, she's played enough now that winning is a possibility and she loves to beat him at this game. He has declined her offer to play several times and he never did that before. I must sound somewhat prejudiced and, I am. Her cousin is her father's nephew and I'm tired of hearing about how brilliant and strong he is. I'll keep buying games for her, where intelligent strategy is necessary to win!!! Girls Rule!!!!

One of my favourite games. Easy way to teach your children counting. All products of Haba are durable, with beautiful pictures and nice colours.
And you don't have to worry about breaking the box, since it is a metal tin.

It was fun to play and easy to score. The dice are a little larger than regular numeral dice. Because there are no numbers the scoring is a little different. There is no chance or small straight (there is a large straight where you roll one of each animal). Instead there is two pair. All in all it was a quick game and fun to play because of the animals. The entire game comes in a small round tin that can be used to roll the dice.

This is a fun game for pre-math children, but anyone of any age can enjoy it. Plays just like Yahtzee but with animals on the dice instead of numbers.
