I've had mine for over a year and I love it. No bells or whistles or any special features, but the sound quality is great and it's easy to use. Compact and completely portable; it protects my iPod and allows me to carry it all over the property while doing chores, painting, gardening, etc. It's perfect for when we are outside anywhere and/or hanging out by the pool as the unit is water resistant (but not waterPROOF).
Keep in mind that sound quality and volume will greatly depend on your mp3 tracks (garbage in = garbage out). The only sound/volume issue I've encountered with this unit is when playing poor quality tracks. If an mp3 track is "fuzzy" or has a low native volume, the output from the speakers will be the same so some tracks may play much louder and/or more clearly than others. This has nothing to do with the quality of this product and the same will be true if listening through most expensive headphones and home systems. If all of your tracks are playing at a very low volume, you may need to adjust your track volume settings in iTunes.
I've seen some other review that complain about battery life and the fact that it doesn't come with an a/c adapter, but I've had no problems at all with battery life and for $40; I wouldn't expect it to include a $20 cable and still have decent sound. It takes (4) AA batteries and they last as long in this product as in similar products that I own. Also, the packaging does not make any claims or give the impression that it includes an a/c adapter (although the enclosed instructions do tell you what to buy if you want one).
Overall, this is a great little product and I highly recommend it if you just need a simple, basic speaker system for toting around the house/yard/picnics/beach, etc.

This product does not work properly. I contacted the seller and he said he did not have a replacement. We are trying to deal with the manufacturer, but will probably have to go buy another one at a store.
I will not buy this type of item from Amazon again.
