This has a great, kind of rugged yet refined odor. Uusually don't think men and cologne mix well. My daughter, who's eight, loves the smell. I like vetiver, and this blend of Guerlain's is just right. Good luck, Tom Ford, with your mix, but this one excels, year after year.

Vetiver Guerlain is by no means the oldest fragrance made by Guerlain but it is one of the most popular. It is a complex yet clean and balanced blend of citrus, grassy, and peppery notes with just a touch of tobacco. It is not in the least bit musky. As with all scents, it is not right for everyone, but more men will like this than not and women find it very appealing.
In fact, many women wear Vetiver Guerlain as well, despite it being a men's fragrance. I began wearing it after "borrowing" some from a boyfriend. No, it wouldn't be the best choice for an evening at the opera but it's a nice all-around scent that makes me think of a picnic on a lawn.
If you are a woman, and like this scent, but think it is too masculine, try it with just a bit of lavender scent to add a complementary floral tone.

I bought this because of all the great reviews on a fragrance site, and a sniff at the local Sephora. Unfortunately, the sexy fresh carrot-smelling top quickly disappears. The smell becomes very disturbing - stale cinnamon, stale tobacco, and fresh Raid bug spray.
My people give me honest feedback about all of my fragrances. Here are five comments I received on this one:
1. Dull.
2. Smells like weed.
3. Smells like trees. It's like sniffing the bark of a tree.
4. Smells really old.
5. I don't like it.
I sold the bottle on eBay for 33 bucks. I've never been happier to lose 7 dollars.
It is a classic, just like classical music - it's been around for years, and most people prefer something else.

The purchase was easy and was delivered on time. Gueralin Vetiver is one of the best colognes I have ever used. I always get compliments. Vetiver is soft and never overpowering. I highly recommend it.
