I received this item a few days ago, and I'm not yet sure I like it. Although the canister read that there were usage/fitting instructions inside, when I opened it, I found none. I wore it the first day I received it. On the plus side, it is not difficult to put on (it took me a few tries, but once I figured it out, it was easy), it fits as I expected (I bought a large) and it appears to be made well. It does an adequate job of gently pulling/holding my shoulders back, and I was able to wear it for about 3-4 hours yesterday with little to no discomfort while I cleared some clutter out of the basement and worked around the house. The pain I have been experiencing in my arm/elbow and at a trigger point near my shoulder blade was definitely lessened. On the minus side, there is no way I can possibly wear this under clothing unless I have a t-shirt or other thin shirt on. The edges of the brace where the Velcro is stitched to the fabric is very scratchy against my skin, and was very irritating. I haven't had it on since, due to the scratchiness, but will try wearing it to bed under a shirt to see if it helps hinder my habit of hunching and curling my shoulders into one another. Bottom line is, it may turn out to be beneficial, but the finish of the seams will make it impossible for me to wear to work or outside of the house unless it's layered over clothing.

Before ShouldersBack, when I was at the computer, my upper back nagged me unmercifully. I ordered the product, not necessarily trusting that it would help but it did. I was pain free from the first hour. Initially I would wear it over my cloths and only at my desk. Now it's on all day under my sweater and over a tee (it's winter) and the improvement in not only my quality of life but in my posture besides is striking.
My only problem is minor: When I lie down with ShouldersBack on it tends to cramp up my midsection muscles. I have to remember to loosen it. Other then that, my days are blessedly irritant-free, I look better and I get a lot more work done.

I am 54 years old, have had aggravating shoulder pain for 8 years, especially on the computer & when I cook (stir & chop food). I've tried exercise, physical therapy, other braces, and trying to make one myself (I wasted my money). This is the first one I've found that is relatively comfortable yet effective. So far it works very well... I plan to purchase one for my car,and one for work, in addition to the one I have at home.

This product does do an excellent job keeping posture in check- but I can't bear to wear it too long because of the intense chaffing to the underarm area. No matter how I adjust the straps or how loose or tight I make the item- I can never get rid of the uncomfortable feeling in the underarm area.

I've suffered low, middle, and upper back pain for several years now and ShouldersBack saved me! The books that I'd read about back pain all mentioned poor posture as a possible source.
