Snake Oil February 24, 2010 Lincoln Duncan (Taxachusettts) Forgeddhaboutit! I've used this product for a month, and notice absolutely ZERO changes in the way I feel. I used it at first as directed, 8 drops per glass/bottle of water. Gave it a few days, nothing. Then I started putting all three daily reccomended doses in one bottle and drank it, still, after a few days of this, nothing. Then, I resorted to just squirting a generous amount in a few bottles a day and guess what? yep, NOTHING! In my humble OPINION a total waste of the $26 I parted with! If it works for YOU, KUDOS!
Worth every penny February 8, 2010 L. Levy 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've been taking Cellfood for over a year now. I first came across it at Whole Foods. I was browsing the vitamin section and, while waiting to be helped, I looked down at the counter and saw these bottles of Cellfood staring up at me. Oddly enough, I was drawn to this stuff. I kept coming back to that display and reading the description of what it was and how it worked. I wasn't willing to fork over nearly $30 for that little bottle, but the Whole Foods guy that was helping me saw how interested I was in it, so he gave me a booklet that went into quite a bit of detail about how it worked. I took it home, read it, and then went online and found it for a little less money (@ the Vitamin Shoppe), so I decided to try it.
Let me say this: That was one of the best things I ever did for myself. I'm 36, and have gone my whole life not knowing what it's like to wake up in the morning feeling refreshed, and feeling as though I got enough sleep. A perfect day for me involved sleeping. All day long. I've always struggled to find the energy to get up and do things, and thought lethargy was just an unfortunate personality trait of mine.
So I started taking Cellfood, and didn't really notice any effects until my husband asked me why I turned into the Energizer bunny all of a sudden. Then I realized that he was right. We have 2 small children, and from the time I get up (early) til the time I go to bed (late), I'm going going going non-stop. *And I'm not tired.* I'm not wired, I'm not jittery, and I don't have a bunch of nervous energy. I just have energy, and mental clarity. And it feels AMAZING. I open my eyes in the morning, and I'm awake and alert. There's no grogginess, there's no wanting to roll over and go back to sleep. I hardly recognize myself these days!
After I started taking Cellfood, and before I noticed any effects, the reason I was motivated to keep taking it was because a day or 2 after I bought it, I burned my thumb pretty badly while taking a pot out of the oven. It hurt like crazy and looked and felt like it was going to form a mean blister. As was suggested in the booklet I got, I put a drop of Cellfood on the burn, and half an hour later I realized my thumb wasn't hurting anymore, and the blister never formed. That told me I was on to something.
I'm the only one in my household who takes Cellfood, and I'm the only one who doesn't get sick. There could be (and often are) miserably sick people coughing, sneezing, and wiping their little runny noses on me, and I walk away from it unscathed. This is key for all you moms out there, because who's gonna take care of YOU when you get sick? Nobody, right?
You can use Cellfood on cuts and scratches, and it heals them quickly and beautifully. The down side is that putting a drop of Cellfood on a cut is the pain equivalent of rubbing a supercharged lemon all over it. It hurts. A LOT. So much so, that I will usually just let it heal on its own.
My mom, who is in her early 70's, has also been taking Cellfood for about a year, and says that it really helps her arthritis.
You're supposed to take 24 drops a day, on an empty stomach (at least 20 min before eating, or at least 45 min after eating, I think it is). I put 12 drops in a pint glass, fill it up with water and down it first thing in the morning before I start getting breakfast ready. I do that again before going to bed. I do it this way because it's hard for me to remember to take it when I'm in the middle of my day. If you take 24 drops/day, a bottle will last you for about a month.
For me, that's less than $1/day to feel the best I've ever felt in my life.
Another Scam product January 30, 2010 Alexander Kuzmin (USA, Georgia) 2 out of 8 found this review helpful
I learned about this product reading a book: "THE 4-WEEK ULTIMATE BODY DETOX PLAN, A Program for Greater Energy,
Health, and Vitality" by Michelle Schoffro Cook, DNM, DAc, CNC. After reading good reviews on Amazon I decided to give it a shot.
Later, I wanted to know what's inside of this small bottle which is rather expensive. I wanted to know what I paid for. If you go to the website to find out the needed information - the best you can find is that NuScience Corporation has manufactured Everett Storey's original CELLFOOD formula containing 78 minerals, 34 enzymes, and 17 amino acids. Ok, 78 minerals, 78 is a big number. The question we need to ask what kind of menerals, names and so on. The same story with enzymes (not many understand what it is; enzyme is basically a protein which catalyzes a particular chemical reaction or process). What amino acids? If someone knows it - please, let me know.
In addition, try to google the name Everett L. Storey who is two-Nobel price winneraccording to the cellfood web-site and see the result.
There are no scientific publications on cellfood. I used ScieFinder (it's a search engine for papers) with no result.
Keep your money and be aware of products that claim to be a cure from any disease.
Not so much... January 26, 2010 Amy E. Peterson Powell (Austin, Texas United States) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I, like most people who found out about this product, was very interested and excited. I first learned about oxygen therapy/supplementing through a theory called the ACM method, which basically promotes deep breathing, which can be done instead of using Cellfood. (Yoga people!!!) Anyway, I am on day 20 and nothing. The first few days, I believed I had more energy and my mood was elevated. That was more than likely a placebo effect...I just wanted it to help so badly, my mind thought that it did. I am 27-years-old, I already eat healthy and exercise, but I work a full-time job, take care of my three-year-old, cook, clean, etc. and am going through a divorce with a man who does not help with anything. So, I thought I could use a little summin' summin' for lack of energy and depression from the divorce. Like I stated, day 20 and I am actually getting sick. Over the last week I have been exhausted every day and have a hard time waking up, after runs, my shins and knees have been killing me and today I feel like I am actually getting a cold! I did hear of the "detox" so maybe, just maybe this is it, but I am now very skeptical. I do not pay $27 for a tiny bottle of something, so the disappointment is there but I will finish the bottle. I have not missed a day or dose either.
If things change, I will repost and take back what I've attested to here, but otherwise, BUYERS BEWARE!

This is what I found out:
Cellfood
Clinical Summary
The theory suggests that delivering high levels of oxygen to body tissues can kill cancer cells, eliminate pathogens, stimulate metabolism and produce oxidative detoxification (1). These claims are based on pseudo-scientific explanations of physical phenomena and biochemical activities. None of the statements made by the company are supported by credible scientific evidence. Oxygen is not likely to be absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract when taken orally.
Mechanism of Action
The manufacturer claims that Cellfood generates oxygen and hydrogen atoms by splitting water molecules in vivo and produces pure oxygen gas at the cellular level, where it is "needed." These claims do not agree with current accepted principles of biochemistry and cannot be confirmed by modern science. Explanations of the mechanisms of action of Cellfood on the manufacturer's website are written in jargon intended to confuse rather than elucidate the role of the supplement.
Pharmacokinetics
No formal pharmacokinetics studies have been performed. The company uses particle size analysis, Zeta potential analysis and surface tension study to justify the potential and concentration of Cellfood. No actual bioavailability data is presented. It is unlikely that significant amount of oxygen can be absorbed orally.
Literature Summary and Critique
No clinical or laboratory studies evaluate the efficacy of Cellfood supplements.
