Working for Me February 10, 2010 Sue L (Chicago) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have Fibromyalgia. I've had it for 13 years. I've tried everything, and nothing ever seems to help much. Everytime I think I have it somewhat under control, I start my exercise workout program back up, and then I'm knocked off my feet for months with muscle pain head-to-toe. I start slow, but it doesn't matter. My muscles react. Covalen is the first product that has truly helped me. I can work out with weights now, albeit nowhere close to where I was 13 years ago, but I can work out! One thing I noticed while taking Corvalen is that it helps me sleep better at night. I feel like I'm sleeping soundly. A big part of Fibromyalgia is the sleep disturbances. It's a snowball effect...you're in pain, you don't sleep well, and without proper sleep, you're in more pain and have more neurological spasms. I think I read somewhere that D-Ribose is a precusor to melatonin. Well, whatever, it's worth the money to get a good night's sleep, and with such a natural product! (No raising of blood sugar either!) I use Corvalen, not Corvalen M w/magnesium. I take Magnesium with a different vitamin supplement. Also, I started using Corvalen (5 mg) 3 days a week for the first week, then 2 times a day for a month, and then I went down to once a day. When I don't take it for a few days, I start waking up at night or never really fall into a deep, sound sleep. I prove over and over to myself that Corvalen really works for my fatigue and pain.
Too much magnesium October 12, 2009 Michele O'neill (Denver, CO) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have Chronic Fatigue and Corvalen helps a lot with aches and energy. I ran out of my supply previously purchased from my doctor so I bought this product from Amazon. It gave me tremendous diarrhea and then I read the label...800 mg of Magnesium! That's a whopping dose and if taken twice a day as directed that is 1600 mg of magnesium per day! BE CAREFUL if you're considering purchasing this. Be sure that you can tolerate that much magnesium...especially b/c many CFS patients also have IBS which can set it off. Magnesium is really good for you, but usually needs to be titrated to avoid diarrhea and most CFS patients can't tolerate super high doses. Regular corvalen is also sold on amazon and was a much better choice for me!
Meets all Claims!! Very satisfied!!! July 1, 2009 BEASTIE JAY (Idaho, USA) After a lot of research on my part, I choose this product and have been very happy! If following instructions exactly as reccomended on bottle, I recieved the added bennifits just as the company claims! And I also might add that Im not a health food junky, or currently taking other supplements. Just felt out of energy!
The healthy nature of enzymes in milk shakes May 21, 2009 Jose L. Vazquez Bello 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Nature is full of enzymes to sustain daily life. In short, no enzymes no life to support I would said. I read that the enzymes do catalysts lots of biological and chemical reaction in our body. Normal enzyme levels may help the body to activate its internal repair processes, contributing to a healthier, more productive lifestyle. Then I thought that my knee needed ingredients to repair either my cartilage or patella to relieve me from deep pain. After taking this product, healthy food and some exercise, those unwanted moments are gone. So I guess this product is doing some magic on me or my milk shakes.
A work in progress April 11, 2009 M. Murphy (Northern New England) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Corvalen,
AS I have Fibromyalgia Syndrome and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome it is very difficult to objectively rate a product as to it's efficacy."Syndromes", by nature encompass a complex and long list of symptoms. Often these illnesses are called the "INVISABLE DISEASE" because to many people the person with the illness does not look all that sick. When in fact they are very ill. Imagine the worst flu you have had, take away the sniffles and multiply your discomfort by one hundred. That is how these syndromes feel. When you have the flu where does it hurt? EVRYWHERE!
To make matters worse, the medical establishment offers little to help the individuals who have this "INVISABLE ILLNESS", all they offer is an 'INVISABLE CURE" or NO cure. So be it! Enough said.
In light of all this CORVALEN has helped to balance my system. Against a backdrop of so many vaiables I do not want to say this is a great product. My guess at this time is that it really is a very good product.
Diet is a very important part to improving your health if you have these syndromes, Corvalen is one way you can help your body to strengthen it's immune sytem.
I will be ordering more soon.
