Album Description Explicit Version. Buckcherry is back in 2008 with a purpose, unleashing their newest effort, Black Butterfly. Following the platinum success of their album, 15, these LA rockers haven't lost any of their edge. Over the two years since its release of 15, Buckcherry has spent over 100 weeks in Billboard's Top 200, supported by numerous chart-topping singles and relentless touring. The band has also excelled in the ringtone market, having one of the biggest selling rock ringtones since the chart's inception.

buckcherry did it again November 16, 2008 Nawaf Ahmed Albardooli (bahrain) i cant have enough of this cd and like always i had to buy the fan club edition its a great inclusion into my ever increasing cd collection . nowdays its hard to find a cd worth spenidng $1 but this is a cd that you have to have . its hard n heavy and with real life stories
Not as good as 15 but............ November 5, 2008 Rob Rockitt, HardRockHideout.com (HardRockHideout.com) When I first listened to "Black Butterfly" I was completely disappointed. I thought "15" was an awesome record, and was hoping Buckcherry would push the envelope further to finally create a hard rock disc that would become the pinnacle of their career. To me, "Black Butterfly" plays it safe, and seemingly follows a similar pattern as "15". It left me a little disappointed, but I kept playing it, and you know what..... "Black Butterfly" has grown on me quite a bit since its release date. While it doesn't have the same impact on me as "15" did, it is still a good album, and one the band can be proud of.
The ought to have several hit singles as the following songs are highly listenable: "Rescue Me", "Too Drunk", "Tired of You", "Rose", "A Child Called It" and the sorry like "Don't Go Away". I can see most of these becoming new fan favorites.
The Bottom line: Give Black Butterfly a chance. It will grow on you. Recommended Listening!!
another great cd from one of my favs October 31, 2008 needcdrehab (California) This CD is right up there with 15. Definitely has some catchy songs that grow on you.
Shooting themselves in the foot October 29, 2008 Wade (Seattle, WA USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Talk about doing everything you shouldn't do after a hit album. In the case of Buckcherry, a great straight-ahead rock 'n roll band in the mold of AC/DC, they seem to have gone out of their away to alienate their fan base. Buckcherry is not supposed to be Coldplay! They just had a big hit rock 'n roll album, why would they water it down to pop rock and have Josh Todd singing about "his mother" and "finding himself"? What??
Is this some sort of joke? Buckcherry needs to decide if they're going to stay true to all of their previous albums and their fan base, or if they're just going to be yet another manufactured semi-hard rock pop band singing about their feelings. This album doesn't even come close to touching any of their prior albums.
Buckcherry, decide whether you're a rock n' roll band or just another wandering and aimless band "trying to find themselves". Good grief. The quick fall-off in sales of this album demonstrates their fans disappointment. It's well on its way to being a flop, for good reason. This album must be some sort of twisted joke.
Signed,
Diehard Buckcherry from the very beginning.
Another Great Album From A Great Band October 29, 2008 Melissa A. Kornowski Words cannot express how much I love this album. I had the chance to check out Buckcherry earlier this year on the Crue Fest tour and was hooked ever since. This cd is a must have!
