powerful flashlight at a price March 10, 2010 Kenneth Sandberg (Shingletown, CA) This is the most powerful flashlight I own, but it comes at a price. (Both initially and afterword--it costs over 50 bucks to start). The other problem is it goes through the special batteries quickly (that's why it gives so much light). I read some other reviews and one said, buy rechargeable batteries for it; I did, and the stupid things do not throw out as much light. The solution I found was to buy an offbrand quality battery and buy five at a time; this is semi-cost effective, and the flashlight works well. On the other hand, there are some new small cheap multi-LED flashlights on the market now (for a couple of dollars each) that throw out a lot of light for the money. I'm spoiled, and I like the super strong beam this flashlight puts out. As for the unit itself, it is well made; you have to turn the back cylinder part to turn it on (it has no button), but I have no problem with that. The metal seems solid (doesn't rust or anything), and I have dropped it a couple of times with no ill effects.
A beacon in the night January 27, 2010 Eric Vossler (Rochester, NY) This little light is one of the brightest flashlights I've ever owned. It's actually brighter then my 3D cell Mag light, and that says a lot right there. I haven't had a reason to beat on it or anything like that, but from what I understand I could if I wanted to. I've had it for a few months now, and I carry it everywhere with me, but there isn't a speck of chipping or anything like that.
The only con I can say is the power button is a little stiff so I wind up twisting it on even if I'm not planning on using it for very long.
Nothing Else Compares to the INOVA X5MT-WB X5 Flashlight December 30, 2009 M. Dillon (Detroit, MI USA) I purchased (5) of these three years ago for my husband and son-in-laws. They have used them constantly and never had to replace the batteries. We keep ours by the home thermostat - it sets neatly on top so it is handy to read the temperature settings. My son-in-law, who is a semi-truck driver depended on his for nighttime checks of his truck. He lost it - has purchased other cheaper imitations which didn't compare and begged me to replace his lost one. I did so this past Christmas and he is again a happy camper! It is brighter, more heavy duty and dependable than its counterparts.
excellent! November 29, 2009 Harry Traver (Bethlehem, Ct. USA)
Very pleased with this flashlight. lite-weight, super bright, hi-quality manufacture of case is evident, great size to carry around if need be, super on/off mechanics. What else do you need? A long lasting battery - haven't had it long enought to bear witness about this feature, but two lithiums should last a long time.
Inova X5MT-WB January 14, 2009 Stir Fryer (Seattle, WA) Very good light quality in a easy to handle flashlight. Feels very solid in your hand but not overly heavy. I highly recommend it.
