I hope the video hepls clear up the installation process for many who have never installed a mechanical type speedometer or for those who have forgotten how the Old School speedometers went on!

Prompt Problem Resolution October 9, 2008

My speedometer developed a problem at the onset
where the odometer would lockup frequently when
it was at 0.9 miles without registering the next
whole mile. The speed indicator would also commence
to vibrate.
BikeWorld was informed of the problem and I was
immediately contacted by Debbie who promptly forwarded
a replacement "head" and a postage prepaid envelope
for return of the defective unit.
I would highly recommend dealing with this company.

I've purchased two of these and both have gone out. I put mine on a motorized bike and the vibrations ruined the spring that turns the speedometer but the odometer still works. I'm sure it will work on a normal bike though.

Dear Amazon,I purchased this product in June of 2008. It is a great looking product and I was happy with it's appearance. Although it did not come with installation instructions, the instructions posted by Joseph in September 2007 were helpful. With his instructions and a little ingenuity, I installed the spedometer. When I first roded the bicycle, inoticed that the odometer was not working. A slight tap on the right side took care of it for the moment. I measured a given distance with my truck and compared it with your product. I found the odometer about ten percent fast. During subsequent use, I needed to give the speedometer a tap on the right side to start it off. Today, the odometer stopped working at 2.3 miles. Taping it did not do any good. There is somthing wrong with this product.
I noticed that to return a product it must be in an unopened box and it needs to be returned within the first thirty days. With that requirment, Now, I guess I just have a piece of junk as it doesn't work.
