If so the Waboba Ball and the Waboba Beach game is perfect. The ball that bounces on water guarantees a lot of fun - and the Beachgame adds a real physical challenge. Together they give you and your friends a new way to make beachlife and beachsport enjoyable and exciting. Seriously, throwing a tennis ball or a frisbee while standing in water isn't all that fun. So why not invent something that bounces on water, like a skipping stone that you can catch? And if that is possible, why not invent a game that is fun and challenging but can be played with just the ball, no goals, nothing extra - just the ball? Waboba is the answer to those questions. The Beach Game: The idea of the game is to pass between team members, three in each team, without losing the ball to the other team. When all team members have caught the ball at least once, without interruption and with at least one bounce on water in each pass, the team gets one point (one round). The opposing team shall try to interrupt passes and start passing within their team. First team to three rounds wins the match. You have to pass the ball within 5 seconds after receiving it. It is allowed to tackle opponents, but not the player that has the ball. You are not allowed to hold an opponent.

Fun! Pure and simple. Buy it... if you like water and want to throw things back and forth. Really is better described as a water skipper... but works either way.

It is fun and bounces on water. You have to be careful of hitting people with it. it hurts a lot. also it is not too durable. the cover slides and accumulates sand.

The ball has to be thrown at a very low angle, like skipping a rock on water. This makes it harder to throw and catch when close together. It is being oversold for bounce properties.
Because we have someone who loved nearly every type of sports ball out there, from soccer balls to tennis balls, this was a must August 5, 2008

Okay, I've told you why we bought it. Our kid tried it at a friend's house and loved it. Think about this when you contemplate Christmas or that break for warm weather if you've had enough of snow and slush, later this year...this could be a great holiday gift.
It works in both swimming pools and oceans or anywhere with a decent sized body of water. Some cautions: test it first as it can be a bit much for small children. Our son, however, has been hitting baseballs and kicking soccer balls for years so this was no big deal to him.
Anyway, know your kid or family member. This ball really DOES bounce on water but you need to get the knack for it. It isn't hard, just takes a bit of practice, the kind you used to skip stones or learn to hit a ping pong ball. Once you've learned it, you'll be fine.
And then watch the fun begin! When it comes to a toy that allows kids to invent new games, get some exercise and just have fun, this one really is a winner. It is popular so I wouldn't wait because it could sell out.

I only tried it in a large sink filled with water so far. It does bounce some, but it isn't anything spectacular. Maybe it will be different at the beach......
