With a 2-3/4-inch bottom that fits most vehicle drink holders, this lightweight mug makes hot coffee, tea, or chocolate available on the road. Hot beverages stay hot for at least 1 hour. Cold beverages stay chilled for several hours. Twist the finely threaded stopper tight, and the mug won't leak even if it's knocked over. Twist it about a quarter-turn and drink out of either side--lips on both sides make it easy--without removing the stopper. Made of stainless steel and tough plastic, with a rubber inset inside the handle for comfort and a rubberized ring around the body for a firm grip, the mug is handsome and virtually unbreakable. I decided to purchase this item based on the good reviews I read on this site. I was not disappointed. I do a lot of driving for my job, and a good travel mug is important. This mug holds the perfect amount of coffee, and keeps it hot for hours. I can make the coffee in the morning, and finish it for lunch. It fits easily into the cup holder, and I don't need to worry about spills in the car. It is comfortable to hold and drink out of. My only criticism, and this is very minor, is that if you turn the cap too far, it is difficult to open again. But, if you are mindful of this, it's not a problem.

I got this as a gift for someone in our office that is notoriously bad at spilling coffee all over his cube/self. He raves (and not just to be polite) about it.
His comments:
Contours are excellent and comfortable.
Heat retention is spectacular (left outside in cool weather for hours, and still hot enough to almost burn his mouth).
The top is not metal, so no nasty teeth-clinking.
Can open the top to varying degrees to control the liquid dispension (which also helps cut down on spillage if it IS spilled while unlocked.
Openings on BOTH sides, so easier to drink from.
Does NOT spill at all when the lid is locked.
Fits perfectly in car cup holders.
So far, he hasn't spilled it at all, but we have a betting pool in place for when he does (although now, I think the pool will get much bigger).
I would highly recommend this for coffee drinkers.

I've been using this Thermos Nissan 14-Ounce Leak-Proof Travel Mug for about a month. Since a coffee would cost me about $2/day the mug pays for itself in less than two weeks. It keeps my coffee hot and fits in my car cupholder. It has been leakproof (I just fill it, screw down the top and throw it in my backpack) and rugged (can't imagine how I might break it). I have no use for the large handle but..

I have been using this mug for over 5 years. It is absolutely durable. Mine has traveled extensively, both on daily commutes and around the world on trips. It is 100% spillproof, and can be packed with confidence in a briefcase or suitcase when full. The lid can be turned 1/2 turn to sip hot coffee slowly, then resealed. As long as they make this mug, I will never use another!!! There is no substitute and I have tried dozens...
