Product Description This car mug has a lot of things going for it, besides its sharp blue metallic good looks. With the lid in the closed position it is guaranteed not to leak even if you should knock it on its side, or even if it somehow gets turned upside down. Now there's something for which both you and your car upholstery can be thankful!

Not cancer causing like those plastic mugs! November 8, 2008 shodankat (NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great mug for the price! It is stainless steel on both the outside and inside which is exactly what I was looking for. Most 18 oz mugs are a lot more expensive. More importantly it is stainless steel on the inside. Plastic coffee mugs may be a little bit cheaper but you're paying more with your health with the cancer causing chemicals that leak out in the plastic mugs. We're very happy with this product!
Good mug, does the job ~ wishing for dishwasher safe October 25, 2008 J. Hazeltine Good travel mug for hot drinks, doesn't leak and is easy to handle. The only drawback is that it's not dishwasher safe.
AWESOME TRAVEL MUG! July 28, 2008 Eric M. Kramer (Milan, Ohio, USA) My mug must be an older model, as it does not look exactly like the one pictured, but it was the closest I could find. In my own experience, no my drink did not stay hot for more than an hour, but when I take into account that there is no built in heating element, I would expect my drink to get cold. But having owned a number of different travel mugs, I am extremely happy with this one. Aside from that, the only mug I've owned that kept my drink hot longer was one that had a built-in heating element. No other travel mug besides that one kept my drink hot longer than the Trudeau.
If you have one that's leaking, check to make sure the seal is properly seated. I say this because I removed it one time to clean it. Evidently, I didn't put the seal back in exactly right, and I had a problem that was similar to the one that another reviewer had. I took the seal back out, and tried re-seating it, and I haven't had any problems since. Sure, the mug being wider at the top can be seen as a design flaw, but I've never found that to be a problem, except of course when I improperly replaced the seal the first time. No it's not a perfect travel mug, but I have yet to come across a man-made product that is absolutely flawless. I applaud the manufacturer for this mug, as mine has prevented so many spills that I've lost count.
I purchased mine at the Coffee Beanery, and I was disappointed that they switched to a cheaper manufacturer. I have yet to find a better travel mug than this one.
Seals fantastically, insulates rather less so... February 10, 2008 Sarah Boisvert (CT, USA) The seal on this thing is incredible, you literally can turn it upside down and shake it when it's closed and nothing comes out. Very handy for carrying around campus in my backpack! I was less impressed by its insulating abilities, though; it seems to take less than an hour before it feels warm on the outside, and by that time the heat is escaping and it's just a matter of time before your beverage goes all disappointingly room-temperature on you. But then again, I rarely need to keep something warm *all day*, and so far it's kept my stuff reasonably warm for 2-3 hours at a time. And it's nice and big...really good mug to have, on average.
Pretty good travel mug January 11, 2008 M. Kleinman (USA) So far I've been mostly pleased with this travel mug. In my experience it is indeed leak proof, and it keeps my hot beverages hot for a reasonably long time (well over an hour), considering that I don't follow the directions and fill it with hot water for a few minutes before use.
I was disappointed that the "pearlescent blue" color is not nearly as bright as it appears online. It's a dull, almost slate blue, and totally boring. The other irritating thing is that if the lid isn't completely dry when I close it, sometimes hot water splatters everywhere when I open it again.
Overall, I like this mug, it performs well, and it seems sturdy enough that I expect to use it for a long time.
