A lot can happen during a family get-together at Vipp. A year ago an important decision was made. The founder's original pedal bin needed more company. Consequently, the three members of the family Jette, Sofie and Kasper, employed the company's first industrial designer. She was given the task of developing a soap dispenser that matched the materials and quality of the classic pedal bin from 1939. Vipp's industrial designer, Lisbeth Kamstrup, worked on the functionality of the soap dispenser making the pressing surface quite large and the conk non moveable. To design the soap dispenser with the same look and feeling like the rest of the Vipp products the soap dispenser is made with a special designed pumping system to give the user a sense of quality. The soap dispenser has been created as a part of the Vipp family and yet very much on its own.

I bought the vipp soap dispenser because I liked the looks and it appeared to be made of quality materials. I tried using clear neutrogeena liquid soap in it. Unfortunately, the seal between the top and the bottom doesn't prevent the soap from leaking out. Consequently, I have to constantly rinse off and wipe down the dispenser. It has even leaked from the bottom rubber seal. I contacted the company and they admitted that they had had problems with the dispenser and told me that they would send me a replacement that would be better, but I never received the promised replacement. I am very disappointed in the product because it was relatively expensive to purchase.
