Product Description The Bodum mug press is compact, efficient and a must-have for everyone who enjoys a cup of perfectly brewed coffee. The Bodum mug press is made of stainless steel and fits into every mug (santroprene rim adapter.) It even comes with a plastic, microwave-proof beaker to conveniently warm milk while your coffee finishes! All parts are dishwasher safe.

Perfect for single servings! December 3, 2008 J. Brooks (Central Coast of California) My husband likes radioactive coffee and usually drinks 2-3 cups. I on the other hand like the standard 2-4 minute seep. The Bodum Bistro Mug Press is perfect for me. I love that I seep right in my cup, press then enjoy.
FYI; 2 star reviewer seams to have forgotten that all french presses ask that you stir the grounds prior to seeping. This "swirly" business does not properly agitate the grounds. Also all presses require you to lift and pour. With the Bodum Bistro Mug Press you DO need to lift the press out of your mug and pour the remaining coffee out of the press.
Not well designed October 10, 2008 Purple Recluse (Boston, MA, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I like french press coffee, and it's a good way to make better coffee while I'm at work. I bought this because I generally only want to make 1 cup, and I don't have a lot of space.
With the Bistro Mug Press, it's difficult to get all the water to swirl around with the coffee grounds because they're held in this cylinder. I've had a hard time making good strong coffee. With most french presses, you squeeze down the coffee and then pour out the top part. With this, you need to hold the thing above the cup, which is annoying. There's always a problem with some grounds escaping into your cup, but this press leaves the most amount of sludge I've seen, barring turkish coffee. I thought it would be better because you weren't relying on the little gasket, but this was much worse.
I'm going to buy another, normal one (anything would be better than this.) Maybe I can just use this for tea, or as a vase.

I do not see any way this thing will break. Only drawback is it is hard to see the amount of water you are adding. The durability and small size make up for that.
I bought this for travel June 30, 2008 NoTexasCowboy (Dallas, Texas) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
and it works exactly like my large Bodum does, except inside out. ;-) This will travel with me, as will the AeroPress Coffee and Espresso Maker. With home roasted beans and a grinder I can have good coffee anywhere in the world, instead of that nasty stuff they put in hotel rooms today!
Highly recommended if you like good coffee.
Lives up to its billling June 10, 2008 Gordon & Cheryl Roedding (Bamako, Rep. of Mali) This allows my Mom (who received our gift to her) to make a cup of decaf while my Dad has regular. She likes the convenience and the quality of the coffee.
